Mid-Level Accountant
A Detroit based youth non-profit organization is seeking a passionate and experienced Mid-Level Accountant to join our dedicated team. In this impactful role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the financial health and transparency of our organization, allowing us to continue our mission.
Responsibilities:
Manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance.
Prepare and analyze financial statements, including monthly reconciliations, budget reports, and variance analysis.
Assist with grant management and ensure compliance with funding regulations.
Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial data.
Stay up-to-date on non-profit accounting standards and best practices.
Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support.
Salary:
Competitive salary range: $55,000 - $65,000 annually (based on experience and qualifications).

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in non-profit accounting or a similar setting.
Strong proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks or Microsoft Dynamics GP.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
